Ortodontik diş hareketini hızlandıran cerrahi yöntemler

Ortodontik tedaviye olan ilginin artmasıyla birlikte özellikle erişkin ve genç erişkin hastalarda kısa süreli ortodontik tedaviler daha fazla talep edilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu beklentiyi karşılayabilmek için diş hareketini hızlandıran yöntemler hakkında yapılan çalışmalar günümüzde daha önemli hale gelmiştir ve bu çalışmalara olan ilgi her geçen gün daha da artmaktadır. Literatürde diş hareketini hızlandıran yöntemler; lokal-sistemik ilaç uygulamaları, mekanik-fiziksel stimülasyonlar ve cerrahi destekli uygulamalar olmak üzere genel olarak üç ana başlıkta incelenmektedir. Bu yöntemler arasında cerrahi destekli yöntemler ilk olarak uygulanmaya başlamış ve bu yöntemler hakkında yapılan çalışmaların çoğunda başarılı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Derlememizde literatürde daha önceden belirtilmiş olan ortodontik diş hareketini hızlandıran cerrahi destekli yöntemlerden ve tarihsel gelişimlerinden bahsedilecektir.
